PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Molybdenum wire is usually silver-gray or black (surface covered with graphite), with high melting point, high density, high tensile strength, low resistivity, small thermal expansion coefficient and small elongation. When heated in air, molybdenum wire reacts with oxygen, so oxidation needs to be avoided‌.

APPLICATION AREAS

Molybdenum wire is widely used in wire cutting, electron tube anodes and grids, high-temperature heating elements, molds and cutting tools.
